Janet received her Masters of Health Care Administration with a concentration in Long Term Health care from the University of New Haven in 1997. She received a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from Southern Connecticut State University. Her professional affiliations include the American College of Healthcare Administrators, Sigma Theta Tau - International Honor Society of Nursing as well as the Association of Long Term Care Financial Managers..
Janet has been the Administrator of Apple Rehab Guilford, a 90 bed skilled nursing care facility since September 2001. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position, having spent time as an Assistant Administrator at the Jewish Home for the Aged (JHA) in New Haven prior to her present position. She gained invaluable experience working as a Registered Nurse for six years in the Cardiac Step down Unit at Saint Raphael's Hospital. Janet also has over 23 years of experience working in a long term care environment in various positions.
With all of Janet's expertise, she is poised to address the multiple dimensions of wellness and the recovery process for all patients. She oversees an innovative approach to post acute short or long term rehabilitation at her facility.
Having a passion to help the elderly, Janet strives to promote and protect the health and safety of all patients at her facility. She works to make sure that all patients are treated with the respect and dignity that they deserve. Janet is considered a valuable asset to the community for her desire and dedication to ensure a better life for the seniors that spend time in her care.
